Le site Visual Complexity
Un des sites références dans le domaine de la visualisation de données. « VisualComplexity.com intends to be a unified resource space for anyone interested in the visualization of complex networks. The project’s main goal is to leverage a critical understanding of different visualization methods, across a series of disciplines, as diverse as Biology, Social Networks or the World Wide Web. I truly hope this space can inspire, motivate and enlighten any person doing research on this field. »

We feel Fine
An exploration of human emotion, in six movements by Jonathan Harris and Sep Kamvar. « In 2005, we wrote a program that scans all blogs every few minutes for sentences that contain the words that contain « I feel » or « I am feeling ». Four years and 12 million feelings later, we decided to write a book on what we’ve found. »

Similar Diversity
Similar Diversity is an information graphic which opens up a new perspective at the topics religion and faith by visualizing the Holy Books of five world religions. Communalities and differences of Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and Judaism are shown up in this datavisualization.
The visual’s basis is an objective text analysis of the Holy Scriptures, and works without any interpretations from the creators’ side. Despite – or even because of this abstraction, the artworks are not only working on an informal but also on an emotional level. The viewers should be inspired to think about own prejudices and current religious conflicts. Realised with Processing and VVVV.
